Meet Claudia – Your Austrian Pastry Chef & Baking Guide

I’m Claudia Miller, an Austrian pastry chef with 20 years of experience and the founder of Alpin Delights. Baking has been my passion since childhood, inspired by the rich traditions of Austrian pastry-making. I honed my craft in five-star hotels and one of Vienna’s most historic cafés, where I mastered the art of classic Viennese desserts.
Baking isn’t just a profession for me—it’s a way to share traditions, create memories, and bring people together. My husband, an American, and I share a deep love for the Alps, so much so that we chose to say “I do” on the Hochkönig mountain in Salzburg, surrounded by snow in a magical winter wedding. Now, we call Austin, Texas home, where we live with our wonderful little boy.
My mission is to make authentic Austrian baking accessible to home bakers worldwide through classes. I believe baking is more than just following a recipe—it’s about mastering techniques, understanding tradition, and creating something truly special.

Why should you buy a custom cake instead of a supermarket cake?

A custom cake is more than just dessert — it’s a personal, creative gift made especially for someone you love. You choose the flavor, filling, size, and theme, and I bring your vision to life.

Whether it’s a child’s birthday, a milestone celebration, or something simple “just because,” each cake is handcrafted with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful design. Every detail — from color to texture — is created to match your celebration perfectly.

Custom cakes make every occasion unforgettable because they’re made just for you.

Do I need to be a pro in baking to take the classes??

No! Basic baking skills are helpful, but I will guide you step by step, making sure everyone—no matter their experience—can successfully bake the dessert. 

What if I have questions after the class?

You can always reach out! I’m happy to help —just send me a message, and I’ll support you.

How far in advance should I order a custom cake?

Please order at least 10–14 days in advance, but the earlier the better to make sure I have enough time to create something truly special for you.

Do you make gluten-free cakes?

At the moment, I don’t offer gluten-free cakes.
